Tenterden defeated Ditton B 48-43 in the Weald of Kent League.

The won on four rinks to gain a total of eight points, with Ditton gaining two points

The top Tenterden rink was that of of P Jeffrey, P Drury and A Crosser, who won 20-10.

Tenterden won on two of the four rinks against Rye, but were beaten 68-65 by the Sussex team

Tenterden took four points from the match and Rye six. ■ Ashford Rail defeated Penenden Heath 94-79 in a mixed triples match over five rinks.

Heather Fraser, Brian Saxon and Chris Knapp (26-9) were Rail’s top rink.

In a six mixed triples match against Cheriton on Saturday, Rail triumphed 114-79.

Their highest winning rink was that of Alan Crawford, Tony Playford and Gill Hawkes, who triumphed 32-12.

The following day, Rail defeated St Lawrence 10890, with Steve Miles, Callum Fraser and skip Gordon Samson (28-11) their biggest winners.

■ Hamstreet gained 10 points from three Mermaid League matches.

They took just three points against St Leonards, with their winning rink comprising skip Paul Brabon, Chris Forster and Helene Ford. Honours were even in the home match against Beckley, with each team gaining five points each.

Hamstreet’s top performing rink was that of Dick Baldwin, with Gwen Colley and Keith Haywood, who won 28-15. Hamstreet only took two points against Rye, with their winning rink skipped by Denise Rossington, with Jill Marshall and June Vincer.

The club lost 68-61 in a friendly against Westfield, with the rink of Denise Rossington, Bill Todman and Val Haywood winning 20-10.
