Centre back open after deep clean
Tenterden Leisure Centre closed for a deep clean over the weekend after a confirmed Covid case among the staff.
Despite the employee testing positive, none of their colleagues have been contacted by test and trace yet so the cause is believed to be external.
A Facebook post on Friday from the leisure centre said: “There has been a confirmed case of Covid-19 on site, therefore we are closing the centre today at 3pm for a deep clean.”
A further statement on Monday added: “Following an intensive deep clean over the weekend we are now back open for gym and swim sessions.”
The leisure centre had only reopened on December 2.
People who had visited the centre and subsequently started displaying coronavirus symptoms were advised to self-isolate.
