Town’s wildlife in the spotlight
Tenterden’s wildlife will come into full view as the council is set to buy wildlife cameras.
Two cameras are being installed in Kiln Field to track and record animal activity.
They will be part of a town council effort to use Kiln Field as a nature reserve and wildlife habitat for the town.
On Monday, the town council authorised expenditure of £2,981 on purchasing the trail cameras, as well as 16 alder trees, bat boxes and an extension to the pond-dipping platform.
It is the latest improvement at Kiln Field, which has been created to provide a natural resource for the community.
