We had many traffic problems before Brexit
Am I the only person getting fatigued by the constant complaints concerning Operation Stack, Brock or whatever it is renamed, and blaming it on our exit from the EU.
As a point in fact Stack was introduced in 1988, ironically due to industrial action in Dover.
It was reintroduced almost entirely due to French industrial action, bad weather in the Channel or the odd misfortunate trying to get through the tunnel and latterly the French introducing new requirements to enter their country, due to Covid-19.
All of this was prior to us leaving EU’s non-elite club and we would have remained at their mercy, even if we had remained.
Whilst in the EU, the organisation could not affect the weather and was either unwilling or unable to affect the actions of the French unions or the misfortunate using the tunnel.
I ask the question, what is the perceived great benefit that we have lost at the crossing in departing the EU?
If there is no real answer to this from the remoaners, maybe they will stop bleating and finally we will be gratified by the silence of the lambs.
