Road blocked

The A20 was blocked for more than two hours after a lorry jack-knifed and broke down.

The Sainsbury’s delivery lorry got stuck on the road through Newingreen near Hythe last Thursday.

It is believed the driver was attempting to turn around when the cab ran onto the grass next to the former Folkestone Racecourse and got stuck.

Although it happened at about 1pm, the road remained blocked for at least two hours while police tried to help recover the vehicle.
