Senior Theatre Technician

Grade: 02L2-03L3

Salary: Dependent upon experience.

Hours of work: 40 per week (annualised)

Holiday entitlement: 20 days plus statutory holidays Notice period: One month

Purpose Of The Role

To assist in the running of the Technical Department,the building’s maintenance, health & safety and technical staff training. To assist the Technical & Facilities Manager, including some office duties. To liaise with incoming productions. To work on a broad range of

incoming and in-house productions, in a variety of job roles within technical theatre. To lead in-house Technicians, casuals and others as necessary.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate would be experienced and proficient in all aspects of technical theatre, including projection and A/V, lighting, sound, flying, get-ins/outs, and rigging. The candidate will also be computer-literate, and able to work with associated software, including Q-Lab. A good knowledge of health and safety is desirable, as is a demonstrable ability in general maintenance. Also desirable would be a knowledge of (or qualification in) electrics.
