Poet’s visit after cancer diagnosis
Millionaire publisher Felix Dennis is one of Britain’s most successful self-made entrepreneurs – and now also one of its most successful poets. With titles including Men’s Fitness, Auto Express and Viz, Felix published his first book of poetry, A Glass Half Full, in 2002. He has just published his seventh collection of verses – Love, Of A Kind. After being diagnosed with throat cancer in January last year, is promoting it with the aptly named Cut-Throat Tour 2013. He will be at Canterbury’s Gulbenkian Theatre on Friday, June 14. Doors open at 7pm and it starts at 8pm. Tickets £20, include wine and canapes. Call 01227 769075.
