Pi­rates plan sea­side mutiny

A bunch of pi­rates are plan­ning a week­end of mutiny. Mem­bers of the South Coast Pi­rates Scooter Club will be stag­ing the Mar­gate Mutiny from Fri­day, June 21, to Sun­day, June 23. The group, based in Mar­gate, are hold­ing the event at Two Chim­neys Hol­i­day Park in Birch­ing­ton, which will in­clude live bands, a cus­tom scooter show and a host of ac­tiv­i­ties. Week­end camp­ing tick­ets are £15 or day passes £10. There will be a ride out on Satur­day morn­ing to the South East Air­show at Manston Air­port, where there will be a scooter dis­play from 12.30pm. The club is also raf­fling an iconic Vespa T5 125CC scooter, once owned by ska le­gend Buster Blood­ves­sel of Bad Man­ners, for Mar­gate RNLI. Raf­fle tick­ets are £5, avail­able from the lifeboat sta­tion and Thanet Area Scoot­ers in Cliftonvil­le; the Cup­cake Shop and Mods & Rock­ers Bar­ber Shop in Mar­gate’s Old Town and the Emporium in Mar­gate High Street, where the scooter is on dis­play, or by email­ing leab99@hot­mail.co.uk
