It’s time for tea

Enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake in some of Kent’s most beautiful churches. Friends of the Churches Conservation Trust are hosting fundraising midsummer tea parties across the UK this weekend, and five churches in the county are taking part: St James’ at Cooling; St Thomas a Becket in Capel; St Peter’s in Swingfield; All Saints’ Church in Waldershare and All Saints’ Church in West Stourmouth. For a donation, visitors can take tea in a historic environment while doing their bit to save churches at risk. Events are on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23.
