Tour Munch’s work

-

A new exhibition of work by Edvard Munch has gone on show in Oslo to celebrate the Norwegian artist’s 150th jubilee. And now art lovers in Kent can see it without leaving the county, as Munch 150 is being shown at Bluewater’s Showcase cinema and the Vue cinema at Westwood Cross in Broadstairs on Thursday, June 27. Audiences will be taken on a tour of Munch’s major works such as Scream, The Frieze of Life, and Starry Night, and other lesser known pieces, by renowned art historian and broadcaster Tim Marlow. It is the latest art event for cinema in a series launched by award-winning arts documentary maker Phil Grabsky. Phil said: “We want to give all art lovers, old and new, the chance to enjoy the works of some of history’s greatest ever painters in exhibitions at the world’s foremost galleries and museums, but without them having to take a plane journey to do it.” For tickets at Bluewater call 0871 220 1000, or for tickets at Vue call 08712 240 240.
