Tour Munch’s work

A new ex­hi­bi­tion of work by Ed­vard Munch has gone on show in Oslo to cel­e­brate the Nor­we­gian artist’s 150th ju­bilee. And now art lovers in Kent can see it with­out leav­ing the county, as Munch 150 is be­ing shown at Blue­wa­ter’s Show­case cin­ema and the Vue cin­ema at West­wood Cross in Broad­stairs on Thurs­day, June 27. Au­di­ences will be taken on a tour of Munch’s ma­jor works such as Scream, The Frieze of Life, and Starry Night, and other lesser known pieces, by renowned art his­to­rian and broad­caster Tim Mar­low. It is the lat­est art event for cin­ema in a se­ries launched by award-win­ning arts doc­u­men­tary maker Phil Grab­sky. Phil said: “We want to give all art lovers, old and new, the chance to en­joy the works of some of his­tory’s great­est ever painters in exhibition­s at the world’s fore­most gal­leries and mu­se­ums, but with­out them hav­ing to take a plane jour­ney to do it.” For tick­ets at Blue­wa­ter call 0871 220 1000, or for tick­ets at Vue call 08712 240 240.
