Fes­ti­val of song and dance

The sev­enth Med­way Love Mu­sic Hate Racism fes­ti­val takes place this week­end. A host of lo­cal mu­si­cians and dancers will take to the stage at Chatham’s Com­mand House on Satur­day. This year’s head­lin­ers are Hobo Jones & the Junk­yard Dogs, pic­tured above, who play wild acous­tic ver­sions of clas­sic tunes, and lo­cal teenage singer Char­lotte Rose El­lis. Other per­form­ers on the Main Stage will in­clude Jade’s Street Dancers and Ur­ban Steps, plus Pub Idol 2012 win­ner Nathan Banks. Ad­mis­sion is free to the event, which runs from 1pm to 9pm each day.
