The centenary of Benjamin Britten’s birth will be celebrated with a concert by the City of Canterbury Chamber Choir on Sunday, June 23. Conducted by George Vass, the choir will perform Britten’s Festival Te Deum, Op 32, and Rejoice in the Lamb, Op 30, and pieces by living British choral composers, including James MacMillan’s Magnificat. The performance will be accompanied by Edward Kemp-Luck on organ and members of the Londonbased Blaze Ensemble. It starts at 7.30pm at St Mary of Charity church in Faversham.
