The cen­te­nary of Ben­jamin Brit­ten’s birth will be cel­e­brated with a con­cert by the City of Can­ter­bury Cham­ber Choir on Sun­day, June 23. Con­ducted by Ge­orge Vass, the choir will per­form Brit­ten’s Fes­ti­val Te Deum, Op 32, and Re­joice in the Lamb, Op 30, and pieces by liv­ing Bri­tish choral com­posers, in­clud­ing James MacMil­lan’s Mag­ni­fi­cat. The per­for­mance will be ac­com­pa­nied by Ed­ward Kemp-Luck on or­gan and mem­bers of the Lon­don­based Blaze En­sem­ble. It starts at 7.30pm at St Mary of Char­ity church in Faver­sham.
