three generations of an authentic Gypsy roma family are set to dazzle audiences with their musical performance. the romany Diamonds, renowned for their back-to-front violin playing, will play traditional music along with russian ballads and may also add in a tom Jones number and a little Pavarotti. founded by ricardo Marek Czureja, the Diamonds include his son Benjamin. the band features violin, guitars, accordion, double bass, cymbalon and vocals. see them at folkestone’s Quarterhouse from 8pm on saturday, June 29. tickets £6, under-12s free.
