Story turns clock back to 1960s

-

» Has it really been 50 years since one of the most successful music acts of all time recorded their first No.1 hit single, The Sound of Silence? Using images and original film footage, the Simon and Garfunkel Story will be turning the clock back to the late 1960s when the American folk rock duo had a string of top-selling singles in every corner of the planet. Featuring a live band, the show includes hits Mrs Robinson, Bridge Over Troubled Water and Cecilia. It will be at Margate’s Theatre Royal on Saturday, February 6, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £17.50 – go to theatreroyalmargate.com or call 01843 292795. The show has two other Kent dates this month. It will be at Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall on February 19 and Gravesend’s Woodville on February 26.
