We’re giving away a family ticket to the Grand Medieval Joust at Leeds Castle

-

Mighty clashes of knights on horseback battling for the crowds return to Leeds Castle this May for the Grand Medieval Joust.

The jousting, which takes place from Saturday, May 26 to Bank Holiday Monday, May 28, includes the chance to watch England compete against France in four new contests. See the squires arm the English and French knights in full plate armour, before they battle it out to become victors in foot combat, skill-at- arms, melee and jousting challenges.

Visitors can gather around the combat arena for archery and firepower displays through the day and witness the mighty medieval trebuchet shooting into the moat. There’s also a programme of historical activities for all ages from children’s mini battles, have-a -go archery and living history re-enactment camps, with characters including a medieval surgeon. Visit the Knight’s Encampment to hear tales of real jousting injuries and how they are treated. Historic Days Out bring their fantastic model of The Canterbury Tales to life with music and dance and children can have a go at learning how to play a trumpet fanfare with Master Tuck. The Grand Medieval Joust is included in the price of admission to the castle near Maidstone. For details go to leeds-castle.com.

But we have one family ticket to give away! To be in with a chance of winning, just answer this question:
