Mark­ing the 100-year an­niver­sary of the First World War Ar­mistice, the Royal Engi­neers Mu­seum in Gilling­ham has opened a spe­cial ex­hi­bi­tion, thanks to Her­itage Lottery Fund­ing, based around 10 Royal Engi­neers awarded a Vic­to­ria Cross. VC: For Val­our – Sap­per VCS of the First World War tells their sto­ries, both be­fore and af­ter the acts of val­our they were re­warded for. Run­ning from Tues­days to Fri­days through­out the sum­mer school hol­i­days, there are a range re­lated ac­tiv­i­ties. Ac­tiv­i­ties are £2 per child plus ad­mis­sion. De­tails at re-mu­seum.co.uk
