Kentish Express Ashford & District - What's On
CHRISTMAS FAIR’S FARE
Enjoy a free mug of mulled wine or cider and a mince pie at Chiddingstone Castle, near Tonbridge, this weekend.
The first night of the fair on Friday, November 23, will be an exclusive event from 5pm to 8pm, costing £12 in advance, to include the free festive goodies.
On Saturday, November 24, the fair between 10am and 4pm, with £7 entry, will have more than 70 stalls featuring festive gifts and goodies which you can’t buy on the high street.
They include home accessories, vintage wares, jewellery, books, cards, slate and lacquer goods, bags, clothes, locally-produced food and drink, soaps, candles and cards. Some tasty refreshments will also be available to buy in the castle’s tea rooms and from outside caterers Gourmet Griddle - including more mulled wine and mince pies.
The beautiful countryside location of this lovely Castle is perfect for a relaxed shopping opportunity with many stalls selling unique products that are not found on the High Street. There will be plenty of free parking but organisers warn pushchairs won’t be allowed in the castle.
To book tickets in advance and for more details you can visit chiddingstonecastle. org.uk and you can also get your tickets to the event by going to event.bookitbee.com
The castle is shut otherwise during this time of year.
