ALICE IN VR WONDERLAND,

Ashford Fall down the rabbit hole and into wonderland with an out-of-this-world 3D adventure. Brought to life by the Jasmin Vardimon Company, known for stunning dance theatre, this immersive experience uses VR headsets and surround sound to retell Lewis Carroll’s timeless tale with a multi-sensory twist. The experience is open at Mcarthurgl­en Designer Outlet Ashford until Sunday, February 20. Tickets are free, but booking online is advised.

KENT LIFE, Maidstone

Keep your children busy with a jam-packed day at Kent Life. The open-air museum has a full itinerary of fun activities running daily until Sunday, February 20 including feeding farmyard animals, meeting meerkats, watching owl flying demonstrat­ions and enjoying farm-themed family shows under the big top. With so many things to do all in one place, your kids are sure to sleep well on the car ride home! Tickets to the full range of half term sessions cost £10 and can be booked online.

SUPERWORM TRAIL Bedgebury Pinetum and Jeskyns Woodland

Meet the unsung heroes of the forest with the Superworm trail, which can be found at both Bedgebury Pinetum, near Goudhurst, and Jeskyns Woodland, near Gravesend. Based on Julia Donaldson’s children’s book, the trail highlights the story’s small but mighty creatures using illustrate­d panels, quizzes and questions, and trail packs. Inspire your children to think about the everyday heroic feats of the minibeasts of the forests with this trail, which is free and requires no booking. Trail

packs with additional activities, such as face masks and stickers, cost £3.50.

PENSHURST PLACE near Tunbridge Wells

Explore the Great Garden Discovery Trail, a fun and interactiv­e new trail for families, at Penshurst Place. Stroll the garden paths, meet the friendly gardening team and follow the trail sheets to uncover secret hidden words. Along the way, kids can cut loose in the adventure playground or have a pitstop at the Porcupine Pantry. The trail is open until Sunday, February 20 and is included in the price of a standard garden ticket. No need to pre-book.

WILDWOOD near Canterbury

Pull on the wellies for mud-filled fun at Wildwood. The wildlife park is celebratin­g the humble wellington boot this half term, with muddy trails, crafty competitio­ns, daily talks and nature tips from Wildwood’s resident Viking, Erik the Green. You can also say hello to the owls, bears, deer and other animals that live at the park. Wildwood’s welly week is open until Sunday, February 20 and is included in the price of your ticket. Time slots must be booked in advance online.
