A day for Lego lovers everywhere

The Brick Festival is back and building on the success of previous years

Abrick-building event that celebrates all things Lego is returning for another round of thrilling challenges and sensational displays.

The Maidstone Brick Festival, which started in 2018, is a day for families, collectors and adult builders to take part in competitions, see large-scale scenes built by fellow fanatics and pick up new and retro Lego sets.

The mammoth one-day event is set to wow crowds with larger-than-life displays created by Lego enthusiasts, which has been a highlight of the festival in previous years.

In the past, the astonishing displays have included a Mos Eisley Spaceport diorama from Star Wars: A New Hope and 30 ft Great Ball Contraption, as well as replicas from TV shows and video games.

The festival will also have plenty of stands selling both new and used Lego sets.

The sets range from vintage collectables to affordable preloved items and mini figures.

Alongside the boxed sets, the festival has an unlimited selection of loose bricks, with visitors able to fill up a cup with as many bricks as they wish for just £7.

Those visiting with kids can pick up an activity sheet and follow the clues to find the hidden figures throughout the festival.

Other activities on offer include a dedicated building area, speed-building competitions and family challenges with prizes to take home.

The Maidstone Brick Festival takes place on Saturday, May 11 at Maidstone Leisure Centre, near Mote Park, from 10am to 4pm. Tickets for the event start from £5 and are available to book online. If you book an early entry ticket, you will also receive a free Lego gift.
