Davis hits brace to ensure Eagles secure the points

MONUMENT Eagles edged to a 3-2 victory over AFC Royals in the Premier Division.

Stacey Davis scored twice for Eagles with their other goal coming from Dave Read. Shaun Stirrups and Royston Gough replied for the Royals.

Goals from Andy Martin and Nathan Eastwood earned Rising Sun a 2-1 win over Swan & Harlequin, for whom Adam Cannon was on target and Tankerton Royals beat Crosskeys by the same scoreline. Joe Nattall and Nick Gardener got Royals’ goals, while Pat Somboonged­d scored for Crosskeys.

Heron battled to a 4-2 success over Broomfield Crusaders. A 30-yard strike by Liam Wellings was the pick of their goals with the others coming from Simon King, Scott Crain and an own goal.

In Division 1, two teams ran up six-goal victories. Bridge beat Northgate Rangers 6-3 thanks to goals from Jack Denby (3), Phil Punyer (2) and James Williams. Rangers replied through James Branwood, Craig Wynn and Gwen Langlois.

The Smack PFC beat East Kent Gills 6-2, with three of their goals coming from Scott Rigden, Raul Hirlemann and Michael Bell. Andy Huttley scored both the Gills’ goals.

Benjamin Dubois, Ben Tamplin and Ritchie Bobbett were on target for AFC Harriers in their 3-0 success over Chartham, while Waterfront were 4-2 winners over Millfield.

In Division 2, a hat-trick from Andy Thompson was the highlight of The Pier’s 7-1 success over Monument Eagles Reserves. Their other goals came from Bill Bowman (2), Dan Hall and Greg Lee, with Ben Smith scoring for Eagles.

Jack Davis and Luke Hedges netted twice each as Falcon beat Radfall 6-1, with Mick Lovell and Jamie Taylor also on target.

Rhys Sawyer was also a two-goal man for Blean Sunday in their 4-1 success over Woodmans Hall. Ben Hougham and Joel Sawyer scored their other goals, with Richard Springett replying.

Millfield Reserves were 2-1 winners over The Elephant (Nathan How) courtesy of strikes from David Miles and Adam Oxberry.

In Division 3, Faversham Strike Force eased to a 5-1 victory over Canterbury Rovers. Their goals came from Tyler Clements, Rob Beazleigh, Dan Harris and Sam Read.

Cossacks came out on top 3-2 against Jadon Blues, for whom Rob Lawrence scored both goals. Kit Sims (2) and Duncan Adams scored for Cossacks.

Queen Victoria and Herne Utd shared six goals. Jon Wood (2) and an own goal accounted for the Queen Vic tally, while Ross Waldron (2) and Scott Curtis replied for Herne United.

In Divison 4, Hampton beat Bridge Athletic 9-1, while Littlebour­ne coasted to a 5-0 success over Bridge Athletic.
