Royals hit nine as cup clashes see goals fly in

JOE WALKER hit a hat-trick for Tankerton Royals as they knocked out Cross Keys from the Fletcher Memorial Cup 9-3 on a day of high-scoring games.

Scott heard got a couple for the Royals and Tom Taylor, Ross Luton, Joe Bills and an own goal completed the tally, with Andy hayward (2) and Aaron Saffery replying for Keys.

Liam Wellings scored four goals as heron beat Swan & harlequin 10-4 in another tie.

David Crain and Luke Potter added two each, while Kenny Sanders and Scott Crain completed the scoring for heron. Swan’s goals came from Matt hennessy (2), Radi Davidov and Addy Mwagidi.

Gary Emanuel netted a treble for Broomfield Crusaders who also struck 10, against AFC Royals. Bobby hitchcock and Steven Crouch notched a double each, with Antony Lees, Damian Tracey and an own goal making up the double figures, while Royals did score two goals in reply.

Andy Martin struck two extra-time penalties in his hat-trick to send Rising Sun through 6-3 against Monument Eagles.

Clive Stace, Wayne Fittall and Stuart Fitchie got the others for Sun, who were deadlocked at 3-3 before scoring three in extra-time.

Sam Kettle and Stacey Davis were on target for Eagles.

In the Tommy Coulter Cup, Lloyd Woolford got two and Gwen Langlois another as Northgate Rangers beat Millfield 3-0, while Andy huttley’s double saw East Kent Gills to a 2-1 win over Share & Coulter. Bridge edged to a 5-4 win over The Smack PFC, while Chartham cruised to a 5-0 win over Waterfront thanks to Jack Brookeman, James Klosek, Jack Payne, Daniel Parrett and an own goal.

In the henry Delo Cup, Falcons beat Blean Sunday 2-1 thanks to goals from Mike Smith and Jamie Taylor.

Woodmans hall were sent packing by The Elephant, Dean Bowers’ double in vain as a Jason Mills (2) and others from Tom Smith and Steve Crawley ensured victory.

Jess Kirby scored the winner in the last minute of injurytime as Millfield Reserves edged Wingham 1-0.

Joe Venes got two for Whitstable Wanderers as they beat Courtenay Rangers Reserves 5-4 in the Catling Cup.

Neil Baker and Stefan Wall got two each for Rangers but the Wands were sent through by Jim Crunden, Phil Bristow and Martin hilden.

Tom Knight netted two for Queen Victoria as they beat Canterbury 6-3, the other goals coming from Alex Surridge, Kyle Floyd, Tom North and Rob Payne. Tyla Clements netted a hat-trick for Faversham Strike Force as they beat Bekesbourn­e 5-1. Rob Beazleigh and Lewis Pout got the others.

Martin Wells notched twice for Jadon Blues as they beat herne United 5-0 with Marc Latham, Ben Lawrence and Graham Miller getting the others.

Shaun Loomer scored three for Littlebour­ne as they gave Bay Athletic a 7-2 drubbing in the President’s Cup. Gareth Cornhill got two more with Simon Baker and Louis Brister completing the haul.

City Firsts enjoyed an 11-0 win against Street Games thanks to a Jay hornden treble and two each from Ian Gleeson, Ben Rowley, Simon Duff and Joel Prujean Skipski.

Dean Brabon got the only goal as Courtenay Rangers overcame AFC harriers in Division 1.
