Faversham ladies enjoyed a seven-shot victory over Herne Bay in a triples game in an otherwise difficult week for the club. Faversham 32 Herne Bay 25: Sheila Howard, Margaret Wills, Jude Prosser won 19-12; Barbara Franklin, Sara Trotter, Janet Wimble drew 13-13.

Faversham’s men suffered a 100-shot demolition against Canterbury in a Forest of Blean Triples League game, losing all six rinks. Canterbury 159 Faversham 59: F.Williams, A.Ferrell, J.Fullagar lost 21-9; B.Meadows, R.Percival, E.Bowyer lost 32-9; M.Butt, S.Gibbons, A.Tuff lost 23-11; A.Pout, R.Cordell, G.Ashurst lost 31-8; J.Chase, J.Harris, B.Grove lost 26-9; J.Winslow, M.Grove, K.Neame lost 26-13.

The club went down to a 20-shot reverse in a triples game against NE Kent Police after losing two of the three rinks played. Faversham 52 NE Kent Police 72: A.Camp, B.Fisher, J.Fullagar lost 20-8; M.Heath, N.Gore, R.Percival lost 19-14; D.Mitchell, Kay Camp, A.Ferrell lost 23-9; B.Meadows, E.Bowyer, Jude Prosser won 21-10.

Faversham suffered a 47-shot defeat in a mixed triples game against Sittingbou­rnebased UK Paper, winning just one rink.
