Sex attack on woman by bare-chested thug

The incident has prompted fears that a serial attacker could be preying on women walking alone in the area.

Another woman told police she had been “accosted” by the same man several times, and described the experience as like being “in a horror movie”.

She said: “I have to drive to work now because of this man that hangs round in the Argos car park.

“I have said for about four months he will have a young girl on her own, and now he has. I am

“The second time, I saw him coming and walked away from him. The third time, I was petrified and I’m not scared of anything.

Residents living near the scene of the attack have expressed their shock.

Frank Coates, 76, who lives opposite the car park, said: “It’s terrible. We do get disturbanc­es around here, but we don’t take much notice any more.

“When we have reported incidents like fighting to the police, they seem to turn a blind eye.”
