Chestfield Warriors 1 were overwhelme­d by Warriors 2 who cruised to a 7-2 win in the Premier Division with Paul Waumsley and Joe Britnall both unbeaten. Despite losing 5- 4 to Hoath B, second-placed Hoath A moved within a point of inactive leaders Iron Room A. Richard Carden’s treble kept third-placed Hoath B within five points of the top. A mid-table clash between Hoath C and Heron A was edged 5- 4 by Hoath thanks to undefeated Mike Howard. With a trio of wins, Harry Law led Faversham A to a 6-3 victory over Heron B. Two wins each from Roger Jordan, Denis Cannon and John Wickings earned Warriors 3 a 6-3 win over Bay C to stay third in Division 1, although Bay’s Bob Edwards kept his 100% record for the season with an excellent triple. Leaders Bay B saw their advantage reduced to 14 points after a 6-3 loss to Iron Room B, for whom Kevin Beasley got a treble. Second-placed Warriors 3A took advantage with a 7-2 win at Choughs A, with Dirk Froebrich powering his way to a treble. Three wins by Nicolas Waters set the trend for Faversham B as they beat Whitstable Natives A 7-2. Warriors 8 went down 7-2 in Division 2 against visiting Faversham C for whom Nick and Terry Wibberley were undefeated. Warriors 5 look favourites for promotion after sailing to an 8-1 win over Warriors 7 with trebles from Steve Tebbett and Peter Paetow. Natives B won 6-3 win at home to Warriors 6A, while Warriors 6 lost heavily to Bay F, who recorded an emphatic 7-2 away win. In Division 3, Bay I overpowere­d hosts Warriors 9 with a 9- 0 away win. Danny Reardon, Simon Chambers and Al Parkes were responsibl­e for the whitewash, winning all their matches to lift their team into second, three points behind the leaders. Faversham D suffered a 5- 4 reverse against two-man Warriors 11, for whom Shaun Reid had three wins with two from Rowan Brough. Fourth-placed Blean B were pipped 5- 4 by leaders Blean C, despite three wins from Laurie Newman. Bay G drafted Division 4 player Robin Bosier into their team against Natives C and together with an unbeaten Paul Messenger, he contribute­d three wins to ensure a 6-3 victory. Despite a 6-3 win over guests Warriors 10, Choughs C slipped from second to third as just five points separate the topthree. Choughs’ Jackie Fok had a clean treble. With the Division 4 leaders not playing, second-placed Warriors 19 reduced the gap at the top to seven points with a fine 4-1 win over Warriors 15 – Paul Anthony winning twice. Bay J edged a 3-2 win over visiting Warriors 16 for whom Tim Platt won both points.
