Holiday camp

-

Canterbury Golf Course are to host a week-long holiday camp aimed at helping children develop greater confidence. The camp at Scotland Hills runs from Monday, April 4, to Friday, April 8 and is for youngsters aged between eight and 13. Run under the banner of Bright Talents, the holiday camp aims to develop confidence, resilience and teamwork through a range of fun activities and exercises. The sessions are taken by teachers, life coaches and sports coaches including Canterbury GC professional Danny Maude, who is also a high performance coach and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) practitioner. He says the camps not only help children develop more confidence they also improve their communication skills. He added: ”The camp has been designed on the feedback we’ve had from parents - parents saying they realise their kids have got loads of potential but when it comes to exams and things like that, they mess it up. “They lose their memory, they’re nervous and forget everything. “We help them communicate not just externally to the people around them like their family members and friends, we also get them to understand how they’re currently communicating to themselves.” The range of sports and activities on offer include football, netball, golf, martial arts and yoga as well as music and arts and crafts. Sessions run from 9.30am-4pm each day and the cost is £45 per day or £225 for the week. For more details or to book phone 0203 290 9395 or e-mail info@ helpingkids.co.uk.
