That equates to the populations of Bridge, Littlebourne, Wingham, Barham, Bekesbourne, Kingston, Bishopsbourne, Wickhambreaux, Fordwich and Adisham combined.

Developers propose 4,000 properties on the south Canterbury site, and work on an estimate of 2.35 people living in each.
