Greece is the word in teen’s musical debut

-

A teenage director with dreams of West End success has staged his first musical.

Flynn Sturgeon, 18, put his own twist on a production of the classic Greek myth Medusa at Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School.

The sixth former, who studies drama, started writing the music and script while on holiday in Portugal last year.

And his hard work paid off as 400 people enjoyed two performances earlier this month.

Flynn, of Highfield Close, Canterbury, said: “I have always loved Greek mythology and my dad is a history teacher.

“They were great performances and everyone seemed to love it. I feel very proud. I’d like to thank everyone for all their help.”
