Audiences can enjoy two plays for the price of one as Doddington’s Valley Players are promising laughs galore.

They will present two short comedies at the village hall, in The Street, at 7.30pm on Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16.

The first, Switched by Francis A Lewis, tells of a man who falls in love with a dental receptioni­st but is worried his new mistress is trying to poison his wife. It will be followed by Who Was That?, by Charlie Cook, four characters discoverin­g who is having an affair with who.

Actor Les Roberts said: “I don’t think people realise there is really good theatre just sitting on their doorstep.”

Tickets cost £7 from Doddington Service Station and the Chequers pub.
