In a mixed match with Duke of Kent, 10 rinks and two triples were played with Bay winning nine of the contests and by 86 shots overall. The Canterbury trio of Sue Swan, Sally Blissett and Liz Long were winners of the Kearsney open triples competitio­n staged on Saturday.

Canterbury ladies stormed to a 74-36 victory against Tilmanston­e, winning on all rinks. Canterbury 74 Tilmanston­e 36 Sally Blissett, Rosemary Wheeler and Sheila Holden won 25-8; Alison Mc Donald, Jane Webster, June Baker won 22-13; Carole Rickard, Joy Burton, Carole Nelson won 27-15.

North Kent Police caught Canterbury on form. Only losing on one rink drawing one, Canterbury had three winners in a 94-73 success. Canterbury lost both their away games and one home game in the Dover League against Aylesham & Snowdown losing by 63-78.
