High tea and friendship at care home

Meadow View Care Residential Care Home in Hersden is opening its doors and welcoming visitors to a community day.

Staff and residents at the home in Blackthorn Road will host a tea and friendship party.

The event is part of Care Home Open Day – a Uk-wide initiative – and runs on Friday 16 June, between 10am and midday and 2pm and 4pm.

High-tea refreshments will include homemade cupcakes, and during the day residents will be making friendship bracelets to exchange with visitors, as well as friendship coasters – with pictures of current and former friends.
