Ash Bowling Club held their annual ladies’ Open competition – the Doreen Underhill Tournament – which saw 20 teams competing.

For the first time in 10 years, the competition was won by the Ash team. The presentation was made by Ash vicepresident Brenda Castle who handed the cup to Phyl Castle, Carolyn Page and Judy Martin.

Runners-up – winning the Vi Spinner Plate – were Jean Johnson, Sue Major and Anita Hubbard from Victoria Park.
