Pals pedal to help ill baby
Two friends have cycled 75 miles from their home village of Aylesham to raise money for the family of a baby girl who has been in hospital for most of her short life
Carl Robson, 31, and Sean Laidlaw, 28, took to their bikes on Sunday to make their way to London’s Evelina Children’s Hospital, part of St Thomas’ Hospital, where Grace Williamson is on life support.
Born in June, Grace is the daughter of Ricky Williamson, a coach at Aylesham Welfare & Leisure Centre, and his partner Maria.
She contracted a cough and then developed infections which worsened her condition to the point at which she needs specialist care.
The cycle has so far raised £2,870 for Grace’s family and took more than seven hours.
Mr Robson and Mr Laidlaw run the Beyond Limits fitness business. Log on to www.gofundme. com/75-mile-ride-for-grace to support their fundraising for Grace.
