Whitstable team: Tony Petts, Barbara Mcgillicuddy, Gerry Hender, Brian Watson, Ron Vaz, Sylvia Hender. Whitstable beat Kearnsey over six mixed triples at the Castle green. The hosts won on three rinks, lost on two and tied on one – overall they won 98-87. Six rinks of men from Herne Bay came to the Castle green where the host club won four rinks, three of them by just a single shot, and lost heavily on one of the other two, losing overall 121-110.
