Scanners boost
Two new state-of-the-art MRI scanners have been installed at Kent and Canterbury Hospital as part of a £4 million investment by the east Kent hospitals trust.
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging machines, which are housed in a new purpose-built unit, will produce higherquality images for doctors and cut patients’ waiting times. They will particularly help identify cancers, abnormally excessive curvature of the spine and respiratory problems.
