The age of chivalry does still exist

I wish to say a big, big thank you to the gentleman and his lady who stopped to change my car wheel late last Friday evening in the Whitstable Road.

They would not accept my offer of money and just said to pass the good deed on. The age of chivalry does exist for which I was most grateful. C Cooper Mount Road, Canterbury

Reference Bob Britnell’s letter in last week’s Gazette, I actually suggested that KCC (not the school) with some thought could facilitate a drop-off point for parents at schools, where land permits.

At Wincheap school, for example, this could be done. No doubt if I wrote to KCC I might get a similar response to Bob.
