‘Welsh Springsteen’ with style of his own

Singer song-writer Martyn Joseph, dubbed The Welsh Springsteen, returns to Canterbury for a gig at the Cathedral Lodge on Sunday.

It will be the 11th time the performer has played for promoters Folk in the Barn.

With a career spanning 30 years, 32 albums, over a half-a-million record sales and thousands of live performances, the versatility of his music touches genres of folk, rock, soul, folk funk and Americana.

Compared to Bruce Springsteen, John Mayer, Bruce Cockburn and Dave Matthews, he is a mesmerising live performer.
