Show where the trains run on time...
Visitors flocked to the Canterbury Model Railway Exhibition at St Anselm’s School at the weekend.
Organised by the City of Canterbury Model Railway Society, the two-day show was its 29th annual exhibition and pulled in people from across the county.
Some had travelled from as far afield as Hull and Bristol to showcase their layouts.
Club spokesman, Richard West, said: “Planning for an annual model railway exhibition begins years in advance, due to the popularity of layouts featured in railway modelling magazines.
“Our exhibition manager Jeremy Kennett travelled the length and breadth of the country visiting model railway exhibitions to find the very best layouts to invite to exhibit.
“Work is already under way to identify exhibitors for the January 2020 exhibition, in addition to the special 30th anniversary exhibition next year.”
