Premier Di­vi­sion Smug­glers Inn A were knocked out of the quar­ter-fi­nals of the Herne Bay & Dis­trict Win­ter Darts League Ken Cat­tell Team Cup by Di­vi­sion 1 side Angling Club A.

The Smug­glers have made it to the last four cup fi­nals – win­ning two – but found them­selves 3-0 down after the pairs.

An­glers won both threes games and then there were sin­gles wins for Mike Brett, Luke Adby, Ge­orge Grosvenor and Kevin Mo­ran to take a 9-2 win.

Tim Baker Snr and Richard Lee won their sin­gles games for Smug­glers.

Cup hold­ers Smug­glers Inn B eased into the semi-fi­nals with an 11-0 win at Di­vi­sion 1 Catholic Club. Sin­gles wins from Chris Dadd, Jor­dan Dadd, Joe Ralph, Richard Stevens, Keith Ralph and Benn Swin­field se­cured the easy win.

Divers Arms also made it to the semi­fi­nals after a 9-2 win at Angling Club B.

Divers took a 3-2 lead into the sin­gles games and wins from Ja­son Adby and Paul Knight put them in con­trol. Mark Sayer booked their place in the next round and there were also wins for Liam Mo­ran, Mark Roberts and An­thony Crocker.

Hamp­ton Inn won 11-0 at Chislet Col­liery Club. There were sin­gles wins for Clive John­son, Steve Coker, Stacey Dawkins, Peter Furner, Paul Dawkins and Steve Moys.

Faver­sham Darts League lead­ers Rail­way kept their place at the top after a 6-3 win over the Foot­ball Club.

Rail­way had a 2-1 lead after the dou­bles but a strong sin­gles per­for­mance took them to a 6-3 win, helped by a 180 from Ritchie Stevens.

Three Horse­shoes B edged the Rugby Club 5-4, thanks to Pete Jones hold­ing his nerve in the de­cid­ing sin­gles game.

The Shoes led 2-1 after the pairs but it went down to the wire after sin­gles wins for Nathan Sparks, Ja­son Mills and Brian Gosling for Rugby Club. Rob For­ber and Neil Cole won their sin­gles for the home team to set up the de­cid­ing game.

Bull A came away with a 9-0 vic­tory over Boughton’s Queens Head.

Brents Tav­ern had a 8-1 win at Bull B, with Gra­ham Amer get­ting the con­so­la­tion for the home team.

Sin­gles wins for Lee Grigsby, Steve Wright, Lewis Gore and John Wright helped Cas­tle A to a 6-3 win over Mar­ket B.

Cas­tle led 2-1 after the dou­bles and Mar­ket’s Craig Pre­ston and Kiah Lee gave them a chance of a win be­fore their op­po­nents eased to vic­tory.

Mar­ket A came away with a 7-2 vic­tory over Cas­tle B and The Three Tuns en­joyed a 6-3 home suc­cess against Three Horse­shoes A.
