POOR DAY AT THE OFFICE

Kentish Gazette Canterbury & District - - Football -

Faversham Strike Force were soundly beaten on their Kent County League trip to Staplehurst on Saturday. The Force were looking to build on last week’s rousing comeback win over Otford United but they found their hosts too hot to handle in a 5- 0 defeat. Manager Gary Axford said: “It wasn’t a good day at the office. The result flattered them somewhat but we were not at the races. We have Tudor Sports at home on Saturday and I’ll be hoping for a better performance.” Toby Sears scored two goals direct from corners as he scored a hat-trick for the Under-8 Hurricanes in their match against St Margaret’s Juniors. Player-of-the-match Ethan Taylor also scored twice. The Lightning side faced Sturry Kings with Elliott Swift and Archie Suter finding the net.
