Rail society on track for anniversary
The City of Canterbury Model Railway Society will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this month with its biggest-ever exhibition.
Having been reformed as a club in 1988, an annual event has been held each year since.
To mark its three decades of existence, a two-day event will be hosted at St Anselms School over the weekend starting Saturday, January 19.
Those who have supported the club in years gone by have been invited, but new exhibitors will also be welcomed.
A number exhibitors have been confirmed for the event as they showcase their new layouts.
Hot food and drink will be available on both days.
There will also be rides for youngersters on a large-scale trains playground.
