Festive joy for homeless Ivy

A young dog suffering with a broken leg spent Christmas Day with foster owners after she was brought to Canterbury Dogs Trust the day before.

One-year-old lurcher Ivy was set for a lonely festive season as she recovered from surgery on her injured limb.

But she was taken in by Bryan and Sharon Taylor after the rescue centre in Chestfield called on the foster caring couple for help.

Mrs Taylor said: “We only became foster carers last month but when we heard about Ivy it broke our hearts.

“She is gorgeous and we just wanted to make sure she had somewhere to rest and relax and every home comfort possible.”
