Fire casualties
Four people were treated for smoke inhalation following a blaze in a wooden outbuilding. Fire crews were called to the scene in Staple Road, Wingham, just after 9.50am yesterday (Wednesday). The smoke had spread to a number of neighbouring properties and, as a result, three men and a woman were given oxygen therapy before being taken to hospital. The fire was put out just before 12.10pm. The cause is not known.
