A medieval martial arts school opening in the city this month will offer sword fighting and weapon training. The Canterbury Medieval Combat group is launching at St Dunstan’s Hall on Wednesday, January 23. Spokesman Jason Hulott says the group studies a traditiona­l German system called fechtschul­e, with a focus on German longsword and long knife techniques.
