More than 300 peo­ple have reg­is­tered for the Kent Busi­ness Sum­mit 2019 at the Univer­sity of Kent to­mor­row (Fri­day) when the im­pact of Brexit is ex­pected to be a hot topic. They will hear from sev­eral high-pro­file speak­ers in­clud­ing the Min­is­ter for Small Busi­ness and MP for Rochester and Strood, Kelly Tol­hurst, who will pro­vide an up­date on the lat­est devel­op­ments around ar­range­ments to leave the EU. Also speak­ing will be the tech­ni­cal man­ager with Trans­port for the South­east, Mark Val­le­ley, univer­sity vicechan­cel­lor and pres­i­dent Pro­fes­sor Karen Cox, chief ex­ec­u­tive of Visit Kent, Deirdre Wells and Gavin Clear, who is chief ex­ec­u­tive of Lo­cate in Kent. The all-day event opens at 7.30am for break­fast and reg­is­tra­tion, with the first talk at 8.30am.
