New year bash

The East Kent Chinese Community Group will celebrate the Year of the Pig Chinese New Year in Canterbury next month with an extravaganza of food and performance. Members are hosting the event, which is open to all, on Sunday, February 17, in the main hall at Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys, starting at midday. The entertainment includes the famous Lion Dance as well as colourful dances from the Yin Tao Dancing Group, Taichi/martial arts display, K-pop Dance Group from the University of Kent and Chinese music and singing. Hot Chinese food will also be provided. Tickets are limited and available in advance. They cost £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s.
