-

The Market Inn derby in the Faversham Darts League produced a convincing victory for the A team who now hold the upper hand in the title race. The teams were tied at the top before their meeting, but the A team quickly gained control leading 3-0 after the pairs. They then secured the opening three singles to double their lead before B team skipper Nobby Gore got his team on the board. The contest finished 7-2 in favour of the A team with Pete Davies capping a fine performance with a maximum. Market A now lead their challengers by three points. In a week that saw two games cancelled, Brents travelled with just four players to the Railway and showed great spirit despite the 7-2 scoreline. Three Horseshoes B had to play their home game against Castle A at the Three Tuns due to a temporary closure of the Shoes and it was a the match that went to the wire. The teams were deadlocked at 2-2 after Chris Bedo’s win for the Shoes, but victories for Lee Grigsby and Steve Wright then put the visitors on the brink of success. However, the Shoes levelled through Rob and Mark Forber before Rob Jones won a tight decider to complete the turnaround. Three Tuns A recorded a 6-3 home win over Bull B and there was a strong performance from Faversham Football Club who triumphed 7-2 in their home game against Four Horseshoes.
