Tree bathed in sun makes stunning snap
Police detective sergeant Marc Cananur was out with his dog Amy on one of their regular early morning strolls along the Great Stour Way when he saw a tree bathed in a late Autumn sunrise.
“The frost was also vaporising from the ground and I thought it made a great picture,” he said.
It did indeed, and was chosen as the Gazette readers’ photo of the month for December.
Dad- of- two Marc, from Chartham, is keen on the outdoors and keeping fit.
He wins a canvas print of his picture, which is the last of 2018 to be shortlisted in our photography competition, run in conjunction with the Canterbury Camera Centre.
The final 12 will now be judged to find out who wins the top prize of a £400 Panasonic Lumix travel camera.
