Miz promises Tearooms a crackin’ night

Mock the Week’s Milton Jones will be headlining the next Live At The Marlowe comedy night. Best known for his deadpan oneliners, ‘the man with the shirts’ is to be joined by some of the biggest names in stand-up. They include cult oddity Spencer Jones, a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe who has also made TV appearances on Live at the Apollo and BBC One’s Upstart Crow, and the legendary Simon Munnery, known for his alternative and experimental style.

Kiri Pritchard-mclean, a panellist on BBC One’s Have I Got News For You and host of the hit serial killer podcast All Killa No Filla, will also be performing, as well as the critically-acclaimed Jen Brister.

Live At The Marlowe starts at 7.30pm on Sunday, February 17.

Sassy performer Miz Cracker, who came fifth on season 10 of the hit TV show, is based in New York and is currently on tour across the UK and Ireland.

She became a fan favourite with her quick wit and intellect, and is the drag daughter of legendary New York artist Bob The Drag Queen.

Miz not only performs in drag but is also a writer for US publications Vice and Slate.

She will be performing under the Glitterbomb brand, which runs regular sessions at Tokyo Tea Rooms featuring drag queens, dancers and themed events.

Stephen Sullivan, head promoter of Glitterbomb, says he is hugely excited to be welcoming Miz Cracker to Canterbury.

“We know she’s going to put on an incredible show,” he said.

Miz will be performing, talking to the crowd and posing for meet-and-greet pictures when she takes to the stage on Tuesday, February 5.
