Kentish Gazette Canterbury & District
Causes to benefit from quiz night
Kentish Gazette’s charity of the Year, Eva’s Angels, will receive a much-needed boost courtesy of the Canterbury heat of the KM Big Charity Quiz.
As well as enabling contestants to raise money for the cause - which gives holidays to families affected by childhood illness - and the Kent and Canterbury Hospital’s League of Friends, the quiz at the University of Kent’s campus on Friday April 26 offers some fantastic prizes.
There will be a raffle featuring Hornby collectables, and one participant will get the chance to win two Eurostar tickets.
A bar will be supplied by Shep- herd Neame, with all the proceeds going to charity and matchfunded by Barclays Bank, and a ploughman’s dinner will be provided by the League of Friends.
Any organisation entering a minimum of three teams will be presented with a prize for their best-performing group.
The quiz is open to teams of up to eight people, with doors opening at 6.20pm for a 7pm start.
Also taking a share of the charity pot will be KM Charity Team services supporting child literacy and road safety, plus one charity chosen via prize draw.
The entry price is £65 per eight-person team, but there is a £10 discount using the code KMNEWS19.
