CBD inquiry

All businesses selling CBD (cannabidiol) products are being urged to register with the city council so they can be inspected.

CBD is a chemical found naturally within the cannabis plant and can be used in a wide range of products including confectionary, bakery products and drinks.

The Food Standards Agency has started an investigation into the safety of the products - with the council now wanting all sellers in the district to be inspected “as soon as possible”.
